The story of NOVELITA UPHOLSTERY & FURNITURE CENTER started in 1972 when Horacio Yalung Miranda & Novelita Dela Rosa Rodriguez got married and settled in our home town at Banlik, San Juan, Samal, Bataan. The late Horacio or Asyong then opened a small upholstery shop inside the ancestral house formerly owned by Novelita’s mother. From then on, Horacio’s quality work was renown throughout the town and spread in nearby areas in Bataan while Novelita (or “Noly” as she is often called) assisted him in seeking customers and buying raw materials in Balanga.
Later on, their skills in upholstery repairs and furniture making, marketing and outsourcing of materials were inherited by their children. Until they saw the huge potential of this business and started the trials and long journey to establishing a full grown enterprise. The hurdles and successes are as follows:
1997 The home-based shop was named CRM General Upholstery.
2005 Novelita Upholstery and General Merchandise stores in Dinalupihan and Balanga were put up but due to minimal space, didn’t go well and were closed.
2010 Novelita Upholstery and Furniture Center, Orani. Existing main branch.
2011 Novelita Enterprises, Orion. The store was first located near the public market before leasing a 760-square meter warehouse store in Sto. Domingo. Existing branch.
2015 Novelita Upholstery and Furniture Center, Bagac. Also an existing branch.
2018 HYM Imelda, Samal. This will be the future furniture production center.
